I know this alluring cloud
She sparks lightning in her own darkness
She reflects angelic brilliance
She releases soft tears in her gray sadness
Hanging over head she lingers and listens
Absorbing as if a sponge the world from off my chest
and then quite calmly unleashes her own sadness
Crying gentle tears onto my shoulder and this truly touches my soul.
Tears of sadness drying we are merged to this place
Pushed and carried by the ill wited wind
Souls connected as one on the mountain peaks of time
When we meet, I am in awe of my own wonder
I gaze into her lowered beautiful face
My desire is to touch the silky surface that haunts and taunts me
I hold my self very still - not breathing
Resisting the urge...controlling my hands to stay at my sides
For this would disrespect her
Spark her electric fury
And unleash her icy tears upon my waiting soul
And then cause her to vanish forever without a trace
Or so my fears tell me and warn me of this ill fate
This is my only one true secret
Forever instilled buried and lost on my tongue's tip
Never to surface ever past my lips
Our much to brief encounter ends
As I move making my way down
Giving a sigh and begrudging this farewell
I proceed hesitantly and swallow my anguish inside
I reach the ragged bottom to find
The cloud is still above me
and moving us together and apart all at the same time
we continue our voyage
Glancing up I see feel and long for her brilliance
The silver cloud in the whispy blue sky
The sun finding shelter in her softness
And me feeling jealousy for this magnificent star
For who am I to compete with this godly sun?
I ask myself who am I a mortal soul!
The sun and his brilliance dancing with the light of life
And asking myself why the cloud holds him so dear?
